Age Calculator – Calculate Your Exact Age from Date of Birth

Find out your exact age in years, months, and days using our free online age calculator. Learn how age is calculated and where it's commonly required.

Why Do You Need an Age Calculator?

Knowing your exact age down to years, months, and days is required in many official situations — from filling government forms to applying for competitive exams. While birthdays are celebrated every year, the precise age (including months and days) often comes up in formal contexts.

Manually calculating age from a date of birth — especially when you need it in months and days too — is error-prone. Our free age calculator does it accurately in under a second.

How is Age Calculated?

Age is calculated by finding the difference between today's date and your date of birth. The process involves three steps:

  1. Subtract birth year from current year to get years
  2. Adjust for months – if the birth month hasn't passed yet this year, subtract one year
  3. Adjust for days – if the birth day hasn't occurred yet this month, subtract one month and add the remaining days of the previous month

Example:

  • Date of Birth: 15 March 1995
  • Today's Date: 28 June 2025

Age = 30 years, 3 months, 13 days
