Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my in-hand salary much lower than my CTC?

CTC includes employer PF, gratuity, and insurance which never appear in your salary. After income tax, employee PF, and professional tax, the gap typically reaches 25–35% of CTC.

Is gratuity paid every month?

No. Gratuity is a lump sum paid when you leave a company after completing 5+ years of continuous service. It is included in CTC but is not part of monthly pay.

What is the standard deduction for FY 2024-25?

₹75,000 under the new tax regime and ₹50,000 under the old tax regime for salaried employees.
